Board Member Amy Harrison Receives Salute to Service Award

Soroptimist International of Riverside presented its annual Salute to Service awards at a luncheon April 12 at California Baptist University.

Board Member Amy Harrison was honored as a Gold Key recipient. A leader in the United States in the development, programming and operation of educational, residential, psychiatric and day treatment centers for youths, she has been an advocate for children for more than 29 years.

She founded Advocate Schools and is the former head of Childhelp and Children’s Comprehensive Services. A graduate of UC Riverside, she was named outstanding woman athlete at UCR for three years, lettering in basketball, volleyball, tennis, track and field, and softball. She has been president of the UCR Foundation.

The Gold Key recognizes accomplishments and community service for more than 15 years.
